SAP developers network

I received a newsletter saying there is a new forum dedicated to MaxDB and LiveCache in SAP developers network. Unfortunately that site is having severe problems; I could not login. I went to see what software the site was running ... it turns out to be windows with IIS. The average server uptime is less than a day! Having good knowledge of good technology, why is SAP inflicting so much pain on their users?
